Travel & Study Abroad

Updated September 2021

Study Abroad

  • Plans are underway for spring 2022 programs but may be changed as necessary relative to new and changing information as reviewed by the COVID Response Team.
  • Individual study abroad plans, or non-Wittenberg-run programs, are dependent on destination. Please contact the Office of International Education for further information via email at jbennett@turbos-bourse.com. We continue to follow the guidance of public health, government, and our international partners during this time.

Travel Expectations

General Off-Campus Travel

  • During travel on official University business or University-sponsored activities, masks are mandated when more than one person is in a vehicle, regardless of vaccination status.
  • When attending off-campus locations as part of an official University activity, masks are mandated for Wittenberg employees and students, regardless of any less stringent rules in place at the off-site location.

Employee Personal Travel

  • During this COVID-19 pandemic, personal travel should include consideration of risks associated with the type of travel chosen as well as the destination and return advisories in place at the time of travel.
  • Any Wittenberg employee who decides to personally travel during the pandemic should reference the CDC content for traveling in the U.S. found here.
  • Please continue to practice appropriate precautions while traveling to best protect yourself and your family from exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
